UIDAI approved by Government of India has started Aadhar card registration process online by filling simple enrollment application form. Applying for a new Aadhaar card enables you to link to your Voter ID card (EPIC seeding), Bank account to get LPG subsidy and to your LPG Distributor for PAHAL Benefits and Subsidy transfer credit directly. The basic step wise procedure involves online application for Aadhar card download, filling the details by taking print out of the application form and visiting the nearest Enrollment center approved by UIDAI. There you have to submit all the documents, go for Biometric data capture process and get an approved EID instantly.
You can download the online application form which can be used for registration and correction process of Aadhaar card. After taking print out of it, fill your details as accurate as possible according to proof documents supporting your registration. Your name and address details should match your Proof of Identity and Proof of Address documents.

On visiting the Enrollment center, you will have to go through certain process which are mandatory to get details registered in database of Government system. The actual reason why the entire registration process could not be done online is because of this Biometric capture requirements. You have to visit the center atleast once for getting your Aadhaar details allotted for your application.
Firstly you will be waiting outside the Enrollment hall before your chance comes for next stages. At the beginning, an officer shall check your documents available with you. You should carry a single photocopy set containing your proof of identity and address documents. You have to show the officer both original and photocopy to get permission for next step of registration.
Now you will be sitting besides a computer operator where he will fill the Aadhaar card details in the database. He will cross confirm your name and other details and shall ask you whether the details in local language is correct or not. Just scan through the details and check if everything entered is right. Now your Biometric data will be taken by the operator.
He will first take your iris eye scan through an eye projector where you need to keep your eyes open. After capturing your iris, it’s time to take fingerprint scan image on the computer which will not be a difficult task for anyone. Now a computer web camera will take your face photo which will be used for your Aadhaar card. Now the operator will ask for confirmation of your details once again in the computer application database.
After submission of the details, you will be provided with an acknowledgement slip which contains your Enrollment number (EID) and Aadhaar card number (UID) for all communication purposes in future regarding your application.
Your Aadhar card data will be received at head office located in Hyderabad or Madhya Pradesh. They will process your data and prepare a final copy of E-Aadhaar card which can be used for all official purposes by an individual. Usually it takes 3 months of time to receive your Aadhaar card, or else you can download it and use it till then.
Your acknowledgement slip must be kept in safe place or else retrieving your Aadhaar data will be a difficult task in later stages. However you can download E-Aadhaar through EID / UID number provided to you.
