Ridhi, a calm and composed girl belongs to a higher class family based in Mumbai. She was born and brought up in New Delhi and completed her education there itself. Before starting her career in acting, she was a loyal student and dancer in Shiamak Dawar Institute for Dance based in Delhi. She learned her dance and became a professional dancer teaching to many students of the institute till date.

Ridhi hails from a Punjabi family and did her schooling in Delhi. She completed her graduation and further studies from University of Delhi in 2005. After completing her education, she started her profession in dancing as her main focus. Soon she came to Mumbai to pursue her life in acting and profess her accuracy as an actor.
She got her first role as a co-producer for Zoom Televisions and acted as a anchor for one of the shows on getting her first call from New Delhi.

In 2007, she got her first break in Zee TV’s popular serial Jhoome Jiiya Re where she enacted the role of Himani. By the end of 2009, she bagged two shows – Rishta.com and Seven aired in Sony Entertainment Television. Her popularity rose to the extreme when she gave her first guest appearance in Horror Nights sequel aired in Star One.
By the mid 2010 year, she became so popular with her first show as Himani, that three more popular serials signed her up. These were ‘Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon me Swaarg’ and ‘Laagi Tughse Lagan’ of Colors TV and ‘Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?’ on Sony TV.
She was also the proud anchor of the special show – “Azaadi” – Independence Day Special aired in 2012 on Life OK.

Ridhi got married to her long time boyfriend and popular actor Raqesh Vashisth who hails from the same community background. Both had a great mutual understanding and cordial relationship for two years before official declaring their marriage in 2011. They have been together for a while since Maryada show started its air in Sony TV which gave them ample time and understanding between them.
After their engagement, they got married in the later 2011.

After a year’s break, she got an offer from Life OK for the serial ‘Savitri’ where she played the role of Savitri Ray Choudhary. In 2014, she was offered the prime role in youth’s most popular channel Bindass for the show – ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ where she enacted her guest appearance thrice. In the same year she and her beau Raqesh were selected as contestants for Nach Baliye Season 6 aired on Star Plus.
